Keto Pretzel Bites with Cheese Sauce by Youthtv

These Keto Pretzel Bites that are soft and delicious with Cheese Sauce make the ideal low-carb appetizer! Take eight bites with Cheese Dip for less than five net carbohydrates!

Can you name a favorite dish to eat to take out to drink with other friends? I’m a huge lover of soft pretzels, especially when they’re accompanied by cheese sauce! Of course, becoming keto has changed my eating habits… up until now!

Pretzel bites are a nostalgic treat for me. When I first went out to the shopping mall with my buddies (and there were no parents), I recall that we shared a huge pretzel and lemonade. The ballpark in summer and fair, the amusement parks, the films… All these locations were made more enjoyable with the big soft pretzel salted!

This recipe is very specific. It’s worth it, I assure you, however! With no traditional (carb-filled) ingredients, achieving the crisp exterior and the firm, soft inside is difficult.

However, don’t worry! With the ingredients, I’ve listed and the methods I’ve outlined below, you can make delicious keto-friendly, low-carb pretzel bites that are guilt-free or guilt. Take a bite of keto-friendly pretzels and think of simpler days!

Ingredients

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

2 1 ounces cream cheese

1 1/2 cups almond flour

1 teaspoon of coconut flour

2 tablespoons baking powder

1 large egg

One large white egg that has been beaten until it doubles in volume

To make the Topping

1 egg large and white

1 1/2 teaspoon sea salt or everything seasoning to sprinkle over the top

Cheese Sauce

1 Tablespoon butter

One cup of thick cream

1 cup of good quality sharp cheddar cheese shredded

Instructions

Before you start measuring and making everything ready ahead of time, It is important to make the dough when it is hot, and therefore it’s time-sensitive.

Preheat the oven to 400° F.

Melt the shredded mozzarella and cream cheese into a microwave-safe bowl for 30 seconds in increments until the cheese melts. Stir until smooth.

In a separate bowl, mix the baking powder and coconut flour. Mix well.

Mix the cheese that has been melted with your flour mix. Mix the dough well, and then mix the flour with the cheese as thoroughly as possible.

Then, add the entire egg and beat the egg Mix the ingredients until you get a soft dough. After that, work the dough with your hands until you’re satisfied that the flour, egg, and cheese have all been incorporated into the dough. Be sure that there aren’t any streaks of eggs. It would be best if you had it be fully mixed.

Divide this dough into 2 parts and roll it into a thin rope. Cut it with a knife into tiny one-inch pieces. (I have had about 80 pretzel bites)

Make sure to brush the bites with eggs white. Then sprinkle the seasoning of your choice on the top.

Bake for 10-12 minutes till golden brown.

To make the Cheese Sauce.

In a small saucepan, melt the butter on medium-low heat.

After the butter has melted, add heavy cream and cheddar cheese. Stir until it is smooth and warm. Serve immediately.
